TMAC TUESDAY- That’s a Wrap on 2019

PETERSEN MEDIA: Though the season ending World Finals did not go how Destiny Motorsports and Terry McCarl had hoped, with the curtain closed on 2019, TMAC is pleased how the first year together went.

“World Finals is such a cool event, and I had hoped we had could have a better run, but we just had really bad luck on qualifying night, and that really put us in a bind for the rest of the weekend,” McCarl said. “Definitely not making any excuses, we just battled a vibration on Thursday, and played catch up. Like I said, a fantastic event for the fans and teams and I look forward to getting back to it.”

Taking the car they ran at the recent Texas ASCS Nationals where they picked up a win and a fifth place finish, a nasty vibration arose in hot laps on Thursday night. Changing a few things before Saturday night time trials, the vibration was still there, and that led to an engine change before Friday time trails.

With the vibration still prevalent and making things extremely difficult, McCarl would actually clip an infield barrier, and be nearly last in time trials for both nights.

“It was by far the worst vibration I have ever had, and were still not sure what it was,” TMAC added. “We gave it a go from the back, but that event is too deep to dig out of a hole like that. Even though it was a tough way to end our season, what a 2019 we had with Rick and Barb Rogers and all of our partners.”

Looking back at the year, McCarl and company bounced around the country and found success everywhere they went as the Altoona, IA driver picked up six feature event wins, and those wins each came in a different state.

Winning the season opening 360 Nationals in Florida, TMAC then went on to pick up wins in Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, and at the aforementioned Texas Motor Speedway, in Texas, which was the 69th different track he has won at in his storied career.

“It is great to travel around and win with different sanctioning bodies in different states,” McCarl said. “It truly shows how diverse our team is.”

Moving forward, McCarl and Destiny Motorsports are pleased to announce that in 2020 they will be back together putting together a similar schedule they ran in 2020.

“It is fun when you can pick and choose your schedule, and chase races and tracks you want to compete at,” McCarl noted.

As 2019 comes to a close, Destiny Motorsports and Terry McCarl are putting together their marketing partner line up for the season ahead, and invite anyone interested in joining the team as a partner to reach out.

“We are really excited for what we have put together in 2019, and what we are working towards in 2020,” he said. “If anyone wants to get involved please reach out.”
